Depression-Era Economics: Nothing Has Changed

A propaganda piece on the benefits of inflation. It should have been entitled "How to Screw Up the Economy for Generations to Come":

Folks, nothing has changed. This is exactly the same approach the federal government takes today -- which is why we're in this mess. What was that they say about those who forget history?

The overall socialist slant of the film is pretty obvious (hey, it's FDR, for crying out loud), but I also noticed a more subtle endorsement of socialism. Did you catch it? Look for it at the 7:30 point in the video:

The government has been cramming this crap down our throats for the last 70 years. And to think that President Bush was the one to finally admit it openly with his recent idiotic statement: "I've abandoned free-market principles to save the free-market system." It just doesn't get any more obvious than that.
