Today used to be known as Armistice Day in commemoration of the formal ending of hostilities in World War I at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. But for the last 54 years it has been known as Veterans Day. As a result, we have forgotten the harsh lessons of November 11, 1918.
