If you have an unarmed and handcuffed female suspect in custody, and she's being less than cooperative, how do you let her know who's boss without being caught on video? Simple. Just turn off the camera. Then, when the camera is turned back on and a subsequent viewing of the tape shows the suspect lying on the floor in a pool of her own blood, and then shows her being wheeled out on a stretcher, just say she fell.
Sure, you might lose your job, but since it's your word against hers, you won't have to worry about being charged with assault. More on this story

Ah yes, just another message from the frontlines of Soviet America, yessiree. But I'll just point out that Shreveport, Louisiana, is no stranger to police brutality. When I was a kid there in the 1960's, the police commissioner, a Mafioso by the name of George D'Artois, had his goons burst in through the doors of a black church whose pastor had the audacity to hold a memorial service for just-assassinated Martin Luther King Jr. He rode his horse up the aisle of that church and pistol-whipped that pastor right there in front of the shocked and terrified congregation, hollering "ain't no memorial service for no commie nigger happenin' in my town!". He remained police commissioner for another six years after that, and was eventually fired only after his goons happened to pistol-whip the wrong kids (kids of the rich and wealthy white men who run the city).
So Shreveport has a history. Glad(?) to see they're living up (or, rather, down) to it. Now you know why anybody not born into the ruling elite there who has any brains leaves Shreveport as soon as they're old enough to do so, leaving behind losers, old people, and stupid people, two of whom were featured in this video, not necessarily in that order.
